Mauritians will explore the Digital Learning this year. Digital Learning will be on the agenda of the third edition of Orange Expo 201 which will be held from April 8 to 10 at Swami Vivekananda Conference Centre at Pailles.
This year it will be the “Digital Classroom”, which will be presented to Mauritians. Sarat Lallah, Director of Mauritius Telecom (MT), says it is especially in the context of the Government’s objective to computerize classrooms that MT has decided to share the experience at all Mauritians.
“The Digital Learning allows us to learn at any age. It will be beneficial for pupils, students and professionals alike. This innovation opens new opportunities for all of the Mauritian population, “said Sarat Lallah.
Emmanuel Andre, sales manager of MT, for its part, the layout of the exhibition will be changed. “This will be through a tunnel that the public can access the exhibition. The main part of the exhibition will be the digital classroom that will be housed at the center. Visitors will be able to test everything, to better understand the benefits of going digital, “he says.
Indeed, the classroom will be equipped with a whiteboard, desks and digital tablets. “There will be sessions led by teachers and visitors will be Mauritian students. They attend classes, “says Emmanuel Andre. However, another room will be for professionals wanting to know the innovations in enterprises.
The exhibition will also include the corner “smart house”, the space of innovations, Gaming Zone and the area experts. But that is changing is also a corner for children. Indeed, the third edition of Orange Expo dedicates an entire floor to the youngest.
And like every year, Orange Expo will bring together a commercial space that will display new products. Free shuttles will be available from Victoria Station and La Gare Du Nord, Port-Louis, to the conference center. Admission will be Rs 25 for adults, but free tickets are available on Orange.mu.
For this third edition, the organizers expect to welcome over 50,000 visitors.
